4 medium potatoes (Russet recommended)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon paprika

4 to 6 tablespoons olive oil


Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly.

Slice each potato crosswise, but not all the way through, aiming for thin slices. Alternatively, you can slice the potatoes at angles to enhance crispiness.

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Lightly spritz the potatoes with olive oil.

Evenly sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the potatoes, making sure to coat each one thoroughly.

Arrange the seasoned potatoes on a parchment-lined baking tray.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.

Once baked, remove from the oven and serve immediately.
