1 loaf of French bread (or Italian bread)
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (you can use rotisserie chicken for convenience)
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled (about 6-8 slices)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch dressing (use more if desired for extra flavor)
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (for brushing)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the loaf
Take the loaf of French or Italian bread and cut a long rectangle across the top of the bread.
Carefully remove the top piece and scoop out some of the inside bread to create a hollow space for the filling.
Set the hollowed-out loaf aside.
3. Make the filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped (optional)
Mix everything together until well combined.
4. Fill the bread
Spoon the chicken-bacon-ranch mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf.
Press down lightly to pack the filling evenly.
5. Top and season
In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon melted butter with 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
Brush the top of the filled bread with the butter mixture for extra flavor.
Sprinkle some fresh parsley on top for a touch of color.
6. Bake the stuffed bread
Place the stuffed loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden and crispy.
7. Slice and serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Cut the stuffed bread into slices and serve warm.
Enjoy!
This stuffed bread is great served on its own, or you can pair it with a side salad, fries, or a dipping sauce of your choice for a complete meal.
